Gutter Cleaning in Cornelius, NC

We treat every gutter project as a top priority. Attention to detail is the heart and soul of our business. We go far beyond providing simple gutter services, giving you incredible insight into your seamless gutters project. Your gutter installation will be handled by licensed and insured professionals. It all starts here, please begin below.

foundation-damage.jpg

Foundation Damage

The primary role of your gutter system is to channel water off of your roof and direct it away from your home’s foundation. Gutter blockages can result in water running over the sides of your gutters. That water will eventually settle around your foundation. With time, pooling water will affect the reliability of your home’s structure, causing cracks, mold growth, and even collapse.

Wood-Damage.jpg

Wood Damage

Your home’s gutter system is held up by fascia boards, which are typically made of wood. When your clogged gutters overflow with water, your fascia boards will begin to rot. On top of that, your fascia boards must hold the increased weight of your clogged gutters. The combination of rot and weight can cause your gutter system to fail, resulting in expensive repairs.

Landscaping-Damage

Landscaping Damage

If you want to maintain the beauty of your landscaping, having clog-free gutters is essential. When your gutters can’t do their job, overflowing water will pour down the sides of your home. Eventually, this water will damage the trees, shrubs, and flower beds close to the base of your home.

Gutter-Damage.jpg

Gutter Damage

When your gutters are full of leaves and other debris, rainwater, and other forms of precipitation have nowhere to go. This causes water to fill your gutters to the brim. Because each gallon of water weighs around eight pounds, this extra weight will cause your gutters to crack, bend, or even tear away from your roof. Your gutters are rendered completely useless at that point, and you’re looking at very expensive repairs.

If you don’t have the time and patience to commit to proper gutter cleaning, The Gutter Gorilla team is here to help. We have been cleaning gutters in Cornelius for years. With a fully trained team of gutter professionals on staff, we have the experience and resources to clean your gutters effectively and efficiently.

Common Signs of Clogged Gutters

One of the most common questions we get at The Gutter Gorilla centers around when homeowners need gutter cleaning in Cornelius, NC. The answer is nuanced, but generally speaking, your gutters need to be cleaned twice a year or whenever they become clogged. Unfortunately, it’s not exactly easy for the average homeowner to climb up on a ladder, get on their roof, and look to see if their gutters are full of debris.

Luckily, there are some common signs that you can look out for to save yourself from costly repairs:

Sagging-Gutters-1

Sagging Gutters

When debris like pine needles and leaves begin to build up in your gutters, the increased weight can cause your gutters to bend and sag. When this happens, your gutters can’t do their job of directing water away from your home. If your gutters appear to be sagging, chances are they are clogged.

Birds-and-Pests-2.png

Birds and Pests

Animals like birds find gutters a very appealing place to make a nest. If you notice birds or other critters scurrying around in your gutters, it can be a tell-tale sign that your gutters are clogged with nest-making materials.

Stains-on-Your-Siding-1

Stains on Your Siding

If you see stains on your siding, there is a good chance that your gutters are clogged, and standing water is overflowing onto your siding. This overflow of water can damage the fascia boards behind your gutters and can also affect your roof’s shingles.

Plant-Life-1

Plant Life

It might sound far-fetched, but if your gutters have enough dirt and debris buildup, seeds within that dirt can sprout, causing a garden to grow in your gutters. If you notice signs of plant growth in your gutters, they are most likely clogged and need to be cleaned ASAP.

In today’s fast-paced world, we understand that your time is precious. If you believe your gutters are clogged but don’t have the time to check, we would be happy to travel to your home for an initial gutter inspection.

During your inspection, our team will check your gutters for clogs and debris. While we are inspecting your gutters for clogs, we will also keep an eye out for signs of wear and tear and other issues that might cause damage to your home. When we’re done, we will go over what we found and provide you with a cost-effective solution for any problems that arise. That way, you can spend more time focusing on your family and your life and less time worrying about fixing your gutters by yourself.

July 16. By Dave Yochum. With no one running against him as of noon today, Woody Washam will be mayor of Cornelius for another two years. Barring unforeseen circumstances, he will be the first person in any living person’s memory to serve three terms as mayor of Cornelius.

The veteran banker, church organist, former commissioner and chamber of commerce chair was first elected to the non-partisan Board of Commissioners back in 2013.

‘Much to be done’

Washam said he is excited to run again and serve the people of Cornelius. “There is much to be done as our many road projects move forward and we officially open the Cain Center for the Arts in December of 2022,” Washam said.

During his next term Washam said three things are critical:

—Take care of a “great” town staff

—Make a strong commitment to public safety

—Assure a strong financial standing

Powerhouse in a ‘weak-mayor’ format

“It’s been a fast moving eight years as I have worked hard to assure my hometown is the best of the best,” Washam said.

The Cornelius form of government is a weak-mayor system, in that the mayor has no formal authority. He or she doesn’t vote, and cannot directly appoint or remove staff. There’s no veto power, either.

The mayor guides on the basis of personality, the strength of his vision and the power of persuasion.

It’s about building consent and having respect for those who disagree. Dissenters will be needed on another vote where three votes are needed on the five-member board.

The town has come a long way since Washam was first elected to the commission in 2013.

Communities like Antiquity and Bailey’s Glen were still new. Four bond referendums have passed since then, totaling $45 million for roads, parks, greenways and the Town Center Development.

In 2014, the town completed a major overhaul of the Land Use Plan and tweaks are under way.

Washam focused attention on affordable housing and social and racial equity, forming the Mayor’s Housing Committee Task Force. The town has also hired its first-ever full-time firefighters.

“We have more distance to travel but have truly come a long way in seven short years,” Washam said.

Washam has worked on the transportation front as well.

Even before the most recent NCDOT project delays were announced, the town has consistently worked tirelessly to keep projects on schedule.

“We’ve worked with all levels of local, regional and state governments to either keep the projects at pre-delay schedules or to bring them back to as close to the original schedule as possible,” he said.

Widening West Catawba from Jetton Road to NC 73 remains a top priority—as noted loud and clear by Cornelius residents.

“I take the expectations of the citizens that have supported me over many elections seriously and will continue to work hard to make sure our town moves forward in a consistently positive way. With the help of a great and experienced board and with constructive input from citizens, our future is incredibly bright,” Washam said.

The Michigan Insider has confirmed 2024 athlete Jaiden Spearman will be visiting Michigan for its big summer recruiting event, the Barbecue at the Big House on July 31st.

The talented 6-foot-2, 176-pounder, who transferred from Cornelius (NC) William Amos Hough to Loomis Chaffee in Connecticut, will be making his first ever trip to Ann Arbor.

The Wolverines offered the emerging prospect earlier this month, which instantly sparked his interest in the program.

"I am interested,” Spearman said. “Coach Bellamy is a real one, I’m looking to keep building a relationship with him and the staff. He’s really cool. I like him.”

Spearman also has a high school teammate committed to the Wolverines in rising-senior offensive lineman Alessandro Lorenzetti.

The future Wolverine already has started putting in a word for Michigan as well.

“Yes, he’s a great Michigan recruiter,” Spearman laughingly said. "He told me Michigan is the move.”

In addition to Michigan, Spearman also holds offers from Arizona, Florida Atlantic, Ole Miss and Purdue.

There are currently no 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions at this time.

He has yet to be ranked by 247Sports or in the Composite rankings.

Michigan’s 2022 cycle still appears to be off to a strong start with five-star in-state cornerback Will Johnson committed early on along with four-star defender Kody Jones, four-star receiver Tyler Morris and three-star tight end Marlin Klein among others. A strong June netted them commitments from four-star quarterback Jayden Denegal, offensive lineman Alessandro Lorenzetti and edge Kevonte Henry. In July, they added a verbal from four-star Colston Loveland out of Idaho and they have also emerged as 247Sports Crystal Ball favorites for a handful of prospects across the country.

One area the Wolverines continue to excel is in evaluations. In 2022, they have been among the first few offers for a ton of the top prospects in the country. Michigan hopes to continue this trend and build off of it with new recruiting director hire Courtney Morgan, who is replacing the departed Matt Dudek. Many in the coaching community view Morgan as a huge addition for the Wolverines.

“Court is a win for Michigan,” Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line coach Adrian Klemm told The Michigan Insider. “You can already see his impact before he\'s even set foot in Ann Arbor. I\'m originally from LA and it was something else to hear everyone back home tweeting, texting and calling about Michigan and Court (Tuesday) night! There\'s an incredible buzz and it\'s carried over into (Wednesday). He\'s so connected and highly regarded by many of us, not just in the football community, but in the community as a whole. He\'s passionate about football and a proud Michigan alum, but what is most impressive is his passion for helping young people and developing young men. His respect for the game fortified with his strong work ethic will be a huge asset to the Wolverines! I know he was for us during my time at UCLA. He led the charge in identifying talent nationwide and his deep roots out West, strong ties in the East, and connects in the Midwest got us in schools that we traditionally had struggled to get footing in. I\'m so excited for him and I can\'t wait to follow the team this year. He\'s definitely going to make an immediate impact and do an incredible job!”

CORNELIUS, N.C., July 12, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, VectorVest announced the release of ProfitLocker Pro, a new trading stop that analyzes a portfolio of stocks and determines a Recommended Stop for each stock based on the stock\'s fundamental and technical characteristics. It raises the bar for intelligent Stop-Loss automation for traders.

ProfitLocker Pro allows a stock to fluctuate early in a trade when it is below a target percentage gain and tightens automatically as the stock moves closer to the target. It can be customized based on nine pre-set stop combinations, which are viewable on a stock chart as they are selected.

"We have ensured that ProfitLocker Pro offers traders the best possible performance, ease of use and a highly intuitive adjustment—of any Stop available today," said Don Payton, Chairman and President of VectorVest, Inc. "This furthers our commitment to providing the best rules-based automated trading systems for all kinds of investors."

So, how does it work? An initial stop component is designed to get you to profitability as quickly as possible in any given trade. Once profitability is achieved, ProfitLocker Pro adjusts the stop during a transition to give the stock room to fluctuate, and to accommodate any new volatility. As price passes a tightening point, the stop converges toward price as it continues higher, closing in on a calculated target, locking in profits.

Ease of use was designed in from the initial concept. The layout is logical and concise. A search icon returns stocks by ticker symbol or company and is an easy way to become familiar with the stop models. ProfitLocker Pro selects the Recommended Stop and displays it on a chart. See the stop in action by selecting various purchase dates. Learn more about the stops from the home page or analyze holdings by importing from a brokerage. Configure alerts, verify data imported from the brokerage is accurate, review the Recommended Stops and let ProfitLocker Pro go to work.
