Gutter Cleaning in Isle of Palms, SC

We treat every gutter project as a top priority. Attention to detail is the heart and soul of our business. We go far beyond providing simple gutter services, giving you incredible insight into your seamless gutters project. Your gutter installation will be handled by licensed and insured professionals. It all starts here, please begin below.

foundation-damage.jpg

Foundation Damage

The primary role of your gutter system is to channel water off of your roof and direct it away from your home’s foundation. Gutter blockages can result in water running over the sides of your gutters. That water will eventually settle around your foundation. With time, pooling water will affect the reliability of your home’s structure, causing cracks, mold growth, and even collapse.

Wood-Damage.jpg

Wood Damage

Your home’s gutter system is held up by fascia boards, which are typically made of wood. When your clogged gutters overflow with water, your fascia boards will begin to rot. On top of that, your fascia boards must hold the increased weight of your clogged gutters. The combination of rot and weight can cause your gutter system to fail, resulting in expensive repairs.

Landscaping-Damage

Landscaping Damage

If you want to maintain the beauty of your landscaping, having clog-free gutters is essential. When your gutters can’t do their job, overflowing water will pour down the sides of your home. Eventually, this water will damage the trees, shrubs, and flower beds close to the base of your home.

Gutter-Damage.jpg

Gutter Damage

When your gutters are full of leaves and other debris, rainwater, and other forms of precipitation have nowhere to go. This causes water to fill your gutters to the brim. Because each gallon of water weighs around eight pounds, this extra weight will cause your gutters to crack, bend, or even tear away from your roof. Your gutters are rendered completely useless at that point, and you’re looking at very expensive repairs.

If you don’t have the time and patience to commit to proper gutter cleaning, The Gutter Gorilla team is here to help. We have been cleaning gutters in Isle of Palms for years. With a fully trained team of gutter professionals on staff, we have the experience and resources to clean your gutters effectively and efficiently.

Common Signs of Clogged Gutters

One of the most common questions we get at The Gutter Gorilla centers around when homeowners need gutter cleaning in Isle of Palms, SC. The answer is nuanced, but generally speaking, your gutters need to be cleaned twice a year or whenever they become clogged. Unfortunately, it’s not exactly easy for the average homeowner to climb up on a ladder, get on their roof, and look to see if their gutters are full of debris.

Luckily, there are some common signs that you can look out for to save yourself from costly repairs:

Sagging-Gutters-1

Sagging Gutters

When debris like pine needles and leaves begin to build up in your gutters, the increased weight can cause your gutters to bend and sag. When this happens, your gutters can’t do their job of directing water away from your home. If your gutters appear to be sagging, chances are they are clogged.

Birds-and-Pests-2.png

Birds and Pests

Animals like birds find gutters a very appealing place to make a nest. If you notice birds or other critters scurrying around in your gutters, it can be a tell-tale sign that your gutters are clogged with nest-making materials.

Stains-on-Your-Siding-1

Stains on Your Siding

If you see stains on your siding, there is a good chance that your gutters are clogged, and standing water is overflowing onto your siding. This overflow of water can damage the fascia boards behind your gutters and can also affect your roof’s shingles.

Plant-Life-1

Plant Life

It might sound far-fetched, but if your gutters have enough dirt and debris buildup, seeds within that dirt can sprout, causing a garden to grow in your gutters. If you notice signs of plant growth in your gutters, they are most likely clogged and need to be cleaned ASAP.

In today’s fast-paced world, we understand that your time is precious. If you believe your gutters are clogged but don’t have the time to check, we would be happy to travel to your home for an initial gutter inspection.

During your inspection, our team will check your gutters for clogs and debris. While we are inspecting your gutters for clogs, we will also keep an eye out for signs of wear and tear and other issues that might cause damage to your home. When we’re done, we will go over what we found and provide you with a cost-effective solution for any problems that arise. That way, you can spend more time focusing on your family and your life and less time worrying about fixing your gutters by yourself.

Hot on the heels of his 2021 tribute album to Texan country great James Hand, Charley Crockett has announced his 10th full-length album Music City USA, out on 17th September via Son of Davy/Thirty Tigers.

Crockett also shared the video for the album single “I Need Your Love”, a southern soul number accompanied by a retro-styled wide-screen video directed by Bobby Cochran.

“I like to think of my sound as ‘Gulf & Western’, and this number here is all gulf coast music,” explains Crockett. “Something you’d hear out of southeast Texas recording studios or southern Louisiana. I’d been foolin’ around with this song for a while, and when we went to record it, we decided at the last minute to double the length of the chorus. I felt right then that we had something. I’d wanted to bring the horns back for a couple tunes on this album. Soul and Country R&B from the deep south is a whole lot of who I am. I hope it shows though on ‘I Need Your Love’”.

Crockett also announced additions to his extensive US tour schedule, and he’ll be announcing even more dates soon. Crockett is a part of the line-up at several premier festivals this summer, including both weekends of Austin City Limits festival, MerleFest, Under the Big Sky festival and Hinterland Music Festival, and he will perform at Orville Peck’s Rodeo at Red Rocks on July 22nd with Peck and Yola.

Crockett will tape his debut for prestigious US TV show Austin City Limits on July 28th, joining a season 47 line-up that also includes Miranda Lambert, Brittany Howard, Jon Batiste, Leon Bridges, Sarah Jarosz, Billy Strings, Jade Bird, Brandy Clark, Terry Allen, Dayglow and Jackson Browne. Crockett was also recently nominated for the 2021 Americana Music Association awards “Emerging Act of the Year” alongside Amythyst Kiah, Joy Oladokun, Allison Russell and Waxahatchee.

Crockett is also a part of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s latest exhibit, “American Currents”, alongside acts like Eric Church, The Chicks, Luke Combs, Mickey Guyton and Maren Morris. The San Benito, TX native donated the custom Fort Lonesome suit he wore during his Newport Folk Festival debut in 2019 to the exhibit, and he’s currently featured on a larger-than-life billboard outside the museum in Nashville alongside one of his heroes, fellow San Benito, TX native Freddy Fender.

Synthwave band Doom Flamingo has released their newest EP album, Flamingo, on June 30. The band has also announced a slew of tour dates for this summer, including a stop at the Capitol Theater.

Based in South Carolina, Doom Flamingo is a self-described “synthwave beast with a Jekyll and Hyde element to their songwriting.” Similar to the contrasting words in their name, Doom Flamingo creates a musical breed of both heavy electronica and dance-floor-ready pop.

The group features bassist Ryan Stasik, of the jam band Umphrey’s McGee, alongside a cast of musicians including dynamic vocalist Kanika Moore, guitarist Thomas Kenney, drummer Stu White, saxophonist Mike Quinn, and keyboardist Ross Bogan.

Flamingo serves as an upbeat alter ego to their 2020 Doom EP, a darker inspired collection. Full of ’80s-style keyboard beats, positive lyrics and an infectious groove, the new EP has a nostalgic summer beach-trip vibe.

This project makes me want to lace up a pair of roller skates and head on down to the boardwalk.

Ryan Stasik (bassist of Umphrey’s McGee and Doom Flamingo)

Despite this fun-loving and beachy attitude, the group stays vigilant in their belief in justice and equity. Songs like “Untraditional” and “Somebody” help spread the message that people deserve to live confidently in their truth, even if they’re outside expected societal values.

Doom Flamingo takes inspiration from a wide array of artists, from electronica pioneers Daft Punk to pop-icon Tina Turner (listen to their rendition of Turner’s “The Best”). Interestingly enough, one of the chief inspirations for Flamingo is former First Lady Michelle Obama. The band even wrote track 4, “Michelle,” in her honor.

‘Michelle’ is a song dedicated to the women that exhibit love, intelligence, and charisma because it feels good to deposit positive energy and be fed with the same. I’m inspired by Michelle Obama.

Kanika Moore (lead singer of Doom Flamingo)

Flamingo can be streamed on all major platforms starting June 30. The band will also be bringing their new EP to a handful of select cities in the coming months, as part of their 2021 Summer Tour. For ticket information, check out their website.

Doom Flamingo has released Flamingo, a new EP intended to serve as the “alter ego” to the Charleston, SC outfit’s 2020 release, Doom.

The sextet, which is fronted by dynamic vocalist Kanika Moore and features Umphrey’s McGee bassist Ryan Stasik, will also head out on a string of 2021 tour dates in support of the two companion EPs.

As the Doom/Flamingo EPs suggest, this is a band that walks the line between seemingly opposing styles. While Doom was a darker, synth-wave collection inspired by the thematics of “mysterious and macabre” literature and cinema, Flamingo explores the nostalgic sounds of guilty-pleasure ’80s staples with an emphasis on hedonistic fun—the two characteristic sides of the Doom Flamingo coin.

Related: Watch Doom Flamingo Turn Grateful Dead’s “Touch Of Grey” Into An 80s Slow Jam [Video]

Instrumentalist Ross Bogan approached the project in DIY fashion, chasing down keyboards on Craigslist to find just the right sounds for the EP’s tone.

Bandmates Stasik, Moore, Thomas Kenney, Mike Quinn, and Stu White followed suit on the pursuit of a “fun” sound. Stasik says the project makes him want to “lace up a pair of roller skates and head on down to the boardwalk.”

The band notes a number of influences on Flamingo, from Daft Punk to Whitney Houston. The album also features a shimmering cover of Tina Turner hit “The Best”.

Despite the record’s light-hearted vibes, the group remains vigilant in its ongoing message of justice and equality. The EP continues to push back on the mainstream views on societal norms and sexuality, offering an alternate worldview in which every individual should be allowed to live as who they view themselves to be.

In that vein, the new release features “Michelle”, a tribute to former First Lady Michelle Obama. “‘Michelle’ is a song dedicated to the women that exhibit love, intelligence, and charisma because it feels good to deposit positive energy and be fed with the same,” explains Moore. “I’m inspired by Michelle Obama.”
